Ribersborg

Ribersborg is one of those places that is both popular with Malmö residents and is a really good for birds during the migration season. The three ponds of the Öresundsdammarna have thick reedbeds that provide habitat for nesting Red-necked Grebes / Gråhakedopping, Reed Warblers / Rörsångare, Moorhens / Rörhöna, Little Grebes / Smådopping, Mute Swans / Knölsvan and other birds. Along the coastline, there waders can be found on migration including Greenshank / Gluttsnäppa, Ringed Plover / Större strandpipare, Common Sandpiper / Drillsnäppa, and Redshank / Rödbena. This walk is about 3 km in one direction and we’ll walk from one end of Ribersborg to the other.
